Dear Concerned Family Member,

My name is Consuelo Meux. Like so many others, I never took gathering emergency supplies too seriously. There was always tomorrow. Then the unexpected started to happen. An earthquake hit our area leaving our family unable to communicate for almost a full day. We were fortunate; it took others weeks to get in touch with each other.  That was followed by a heat wave and blackouts.  We scrambled to keep elder family members cool and frantically searched for the extra batteries and flashlights so we could see.

Our emergencies were mild compared to what has happened across the world on a daily basis. You can't plan for every emergency. It's impossible to know what could happen from a natural disaster or unexpected accident.  But you can gather basic items that could bring general relief in many situations.

Being Prepared Doesn't Have to Be

Expensive, Boring or Difficult

You know you need to organize some basic supplies for unexpected emergency or disaster situations, right?  You realized this the last time you and your family suffered through a sudden blackout, or when you got stranded at home from that flash rain storm.

Maybe you just heard about others getting caught in an emergency situation. You know that every family should have at least the basic supplies on hand. Items such as an

  • emergency kit
  • extra water and canned goods
  • and a good working flashlight with fresh batteries

So why are you being like millions of other families who fail to gather even the most basic supplies --- until after it's too late?

I think this book will be a classic manual. I loved how the chapters fit together, and you really didn't forget anything. It took into consideration kids, the disabled, and the elderly--and you didn't forget the car! The writing style is very conversational, making it easy to understand and in practical terms most people would identify with. Go girl!"

“Until I read Consuelo’s eBook on emergency and disaster planning, I never knew the urgency of getting my three-day emergency kit together. Every trip to the store, I add half gallons of water, tasty dry snacks, and comfort items. I feel so relaxed and confident I'm ready for whatever nature delivers! I loved the recipes in the workbook section because even a gourmet would eat them.”

“As a college student, I never thought about planning for an emergency situation. I just figured I’d make a call on my cell phone if something happened.  After reading this information, I realized that my cell phone could be the first thing to go and I wouldn’t know how to contact my family if something happened while I am away at school.  This book helped me work with my parents to a plan together in case of an emergency.”
